Some of you asked how often people should practice. There is no universal answer and also all answers can be little bit tricky. I will explain why.
Usually when you attend classic music classes with a music teacher you spend maybe 1 hour with him or her and then you go home and practice one evening 2 hours before the next lesson and maybe sometimes you spend an extra hour practicing during weekend. That works not well with becoming a good musicians. You can do it maybe 10 years and after it you pray that it ends and you wish to do anything else except of playing some instrument. But when you really decide to be A MUSICIAN, then you start love your instrument and you can discover some science and math in the music and while you can express your emotions using the music, then you can pronounce yourself musician. You realize then that you need to practice more and more to not repeat the same mistakes and you also will continue with some kind of a system of working on your technique as well.
So from the beginning I'd suggest to play 30 minutes a day. All together with our regular meetings it will cover 4 hours per week. That is not bad for people who want one day play just for themselves at home or having some basic knowledge to start learning more from a starting point they are at now.
I will give you an example also: When I compose some music or practice a new song. I usually spend at least 10 - 15 hours listening and practicing ac. guitar and electric guitar riffs and solos before I go on stage.
Now the new exciting chords as a review from our last workout:
